Repaint cycles depend on the surface, the product, and how the space is used. Here are realistic intervals – not the marketing version.

Interior Walls

Living rooms and bedrooms: 7–10 years. Hallways and kitchens: 4–6 years. Bathrooms with good ventilation: 5–7 years.

Trim, Doors and Cabinets

Trim: every 8–12 years. Doors: 6–10 years. Painted cabinets: 5–8 years depending on use.

Exterior

Stucco: 8–12 years with good prep. Wood siding: 5–7. Decks and fences: every 2–4 years.

Signs You Shouldn't Wait

Chalking, peeling, hairline cracks in caulking, water staining around windows, or paint that no longer cleans up. Catching these early is much cheaper than fixing the damage they cause.
