Exterior paints use flexible binders so they can expand and contract through Calgary's huge temperature swings. Interior binders are rigid and would crack outside.
Different Additives
Exterior products contain UV inhibitors, mildewcides and fade-resistant pigments. Interior paints prioritise low odour, washability and easy touch-up.
Why It Matters
Using interior paint outside fails fast. Using exterior paint inside off-gasses more, smells longer and is overkill on cost. The right paint for the right surface is part of every quote we send.
